Great news everyone! I found some actual software, that’s free, no I don’t mean those ones that say they’re free and then ask you for $40 bucks but actually free. That converts your DVD’s into DivX, that can then be played back on your Zune. The software is from fairusewizard.com Here are some screenshots: [More info after jump]

Now, I have to let you know that during installation they ask you if you want to install Crawler toolbar (I guess some people might because after all you are getting some very solid software for free) but you don’t have to install it! I’m going to show you the screenshot of the last part for the install and you can see where the box is to Uncheck it and bypass the install.

Once again, if you want to install it I guess you can but I know most people won’t want to and that’s why I’m making such a big deal of it. So, if you don’t want it installed simply “Uncheck” the preselected checkbox where it says “add Crawler toolbar to IE and Firefox, then click next and you’re finished. Now you can use this to convert all your chosen DVD’s to your Zune, or any of these other formats: Xbox 360, TiVO, HD, iPhone,iPodm AppleTV and PS3.
